Hi, welcome back to my blog! I’m Kenny – a true Malaysian Chinese guy who was born and raised right here in Malaysia. Every post I write is based on my real experiences — no fake reviews or touristy hype, just honest recommendations and hidden spots I’ve personally explored. Today, we’re heading to a state that’s often overlooked but full of charm: Negeri Sembilan.
While it may not be the first place that comes to mind when planning a trip, Negeri Sembilan is surprisingly rich in tradition, culture, and nature. Known for its Minangkabau heritage and beautiful hills, this state offers a quiet, authentic Malaysian experience away from the tourist crowds. Whether you’re into cultural villages, nature hikes, or just enjoying a peaceful kampung vibe, there’s something here for you.

NUM 1 : Jelita Ostrich Farm – Not Just for Kids!

Not your average animal farm, this place let me get up close with real ostriches — and yes, they’re way bigger (and sassier) than you’d expect. I even tried standing on an ostrich egg (it didn’t break, phew). Great for families or just adults who are still kids inside.

NUM 2 : Gunung Datuk – Underrated Hike with Epic Summit Views

If you’re okay with sweating a little (or a lot), this hike is a gem. The view at the summit is insane — like, “Malaysia-is-underrated” level beautiful. Bring good shoes and maybe a friend to complain with.

NUM 3 : Lorong Seni Seremban — A Chill Walk Through Creative Murals (FREE)

I stumbled upon this art alley while trying to find a shortcut to lunch — and ended up spending half an hour admiring wall after wall of beautiful street art. It’s quiet, colourful, and gives off that laid-back Seremban vibe that I secretly love.

And there you have it — five personal picks from my short but sweet trip around Negeri Sembilan! It might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think “vacation,” but that’s exactly why it surprised me. Less crowd, more authenticity. If you’re looking for something slower-paced and charmingly local, Negeri Sembilan might just become your next unexpected favourite. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more real travel stories from a guy who’s been there, done that, and probably got lost along the way too!
